Battery Recycling… The truth is shocking.

Battery users need to pay attention. Over 99% of good old lead acid batteries are recycled and if you buy good ones, they can last. The Crown batteries used in my off grid home system will probably last over ten years and I expect more. No other battery manufacturer is built like Crown, no matter what they say. I have over 20 years of off grid experience to back this up and have had problems with most other manufacturers.

Lead acid batteries are the recycling success story of the 20th century. As of 2024, only about 5% of Lithium batteries are being recycled. The technology simply is not ready yet. Add to this the dangers of combustion of Lithium and there is a rude awakening coming. In China there have been thousands of EV fires. https://cen.acs.org/materials/energy-storage/time-ser
